Lollipop snails and hearts
Fruit snails are lollipops in a spiralling snail shape. They are all handmade. A scorching hot mass is rolled on a 250-year-old stone table until it becomes a thin ‘rope’ that is then twisted into a snail shape. At the end, every lollipop is given a stick, which distinguishes hard candy from a lollipop.
The Perger lollipops are perfect for spicing up a birthday party, a photo session, for surprising children and the... young at heart, at jubilees, celebrations, as a wedding ceremony decoration or a cake decoration…. Bigger lollipops can be decorated with an inscription of your choice.
Candy cane – »fajfa«
Many legends have emerged about fajfas, the local name for candy canes. Some testimonies date their origin back to 1670 in Germany, when a priest asked the local 'sugar master' to make candy canes so the children would behave and be quiet during Christmas mass. He ordered him to bend the candies over on one side so they’d resemble shepherds’ crooked sticks and perfectly suit the ceremony/holiday.
Today, the Perger... family produces candy canes according to old family recipes and secrets passed down from one generation to another for over 250 years. The sugar mass also contains honey and is coloured with natural colourings, whereas the fruity flavours bring a smile to all faces.
